About

I am looking for work that allows me to use my skills toward making a difference in my community and the lives of others.

I am a seasoned, independent, self-directed professional, skillful web developer. All of my projects are completed on time and within budget.

I was born and raised in Spokane and recently moved back home to be closer to family. I live in West Central and love it! I retired in June 2021 from a 25-year career working for the State of Washington, in Olympia, as an IT System Administrator and web developer.

I also provide:

  • Web Development
  • Help Desk Assistance
  • Social Media Management
  • Document Preparation

I have affordable prices and offer deep discounts to businesses/nonprofits in West Central Spokane!

I am well trained and highly skilled in Information Technology System Administration.

I actively volunteer with the West Central Development Project, using asset-based community development tools and methods to improve the lives of those who live in West Central.

I find joy in helping others and making a difference, no matter how small. I have a natural talent for transformational leadership, analyzing complex processes and procedures to find ways to improve organizational goals, systems, policies, and traversing regulatory obstacles. Team
building is a fascination, connections are deep, wide and enduring.

Some off-beat jobs I’ve had, outside of my professional career: Nanny, Gymnastics Coach, Tumble Bus Driver, Commercial Fisherwoman in Alaska and inspecting pheromone moth traps at the Washington State Entomology Lab.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, travel, photography, and genealogy.

The most rewarding experience in my career was at the Washington State Department of Agriculture, a Governor’s state-wide initiative called “Results Washington.” This project’s objective was to transform Washington State Agencies’ organizational focus from building reserve funds to empowering employees to create satisfied regulatory customers.

I conducted 1:1 relational (listening) meetings with agricultural growers, packers and shippers around the state to gain an understanding of their organizational requirements and translated that into an action plan that resulted in achieving and celebrating our goal of having wholly satisfied customers, from the bottom, up.

I also developed a web-based certification system for Washington farmers to export their agricultural commodities.
