Social Media Campaigns

West Central Spokane Expo – March 2023

Target: West Central Businesses

This campaign was two-pronged in that we targeted businesses in West Central to set up booths at the West Central Community Center as a way of engaging neighborhood residents. We partnered with Spokane C.O.P.S., The West Central Development Project and the West Central Community Center. I created all the media content for this campaign.

Target: West Central Residents

We targeted the neighborhood residents on social media. Our partners in this event did the same so we could reach a larger audience.

Target: West Central Businesses and Residents.
We hung posters about the event all over West Central.

I attended the event and took these photos, and combined them into a video with music, and shared on social media. We had over 25 West Central businesses set up booths and hundreds of kids and parents attended. I contacted the Spokane Indians baseball team and invited their mascot, Otto, who showed up with free give-away tickets. The fire department came as well as our local city council members.

West Central Poster Contest

Every year, for Neighbor Day in West Central, the West Central Development Project hosts a poster contest with the elementary school students at Holmes Elementary School and Audubon Elementary School. All of the entries are displayed at the Neighbor Days event at A.M. Cannon Park and the neighbors vote on their favorites. The winners are made into posters and hung on window store fronts throughout west central. I did not make the art, the students did that, but I converted them into posters.

Miscellaneous Social Media Content

Video of a walk through West Central on the Centennial Trail that prompted me to engage with the city of Spokane to have it cleaned up. I sent this video to Mayor Woodward and candidate for Mayor, Lisa Brown. Last week, this entire area was cleaned up! I’ve only uploaded it to social media so that I can share here in my portfolio. I did get a phone call from Lisa Brown! After she took office, it was cleaned up within 2 weeks.
